ABOUT THE FOUNDER
From creating visual art and sculpture to learning piano and appreciating classical music, and then moving on to graphic design, animation, interaction design, interface design, and user experience design, every step of my journey is rooted in my personal understanding of artistic philosophy. These experiences have not only been the source of my creativity but also continue to inspire deep and impactful ideas through these guiding principles.

Art project
This project explores the concept of “warmth” through a diverse range of mediums, aiming to convey an intimate and heartfelt atmosphere. By significantly reducing color saturation, the focus shifts to forms shaped purely by the artist’s actions, capturing the emotional resonance of the creative process. Presented in the exhibition About White, the work serves as an experiment to examine the relationship between thoughts, emotions, and materiality.
Each raised form was created through intentional, tactile interactions, with the artist focusing on thoughts of warmth and using their hands to shape the material. The project aimed to explore whether emotions could be transferred to a physical object and, if so, whether those emotions could be passed on to others when they interact with the object. Despite the spiked and sharp appearance of the forms, reminiscent of needles, exhibition visitors consistently reported experiencing warmth within the space. This surprising outcome led to further inquiries into the independent judgments of different senses.
During my graduate studies, I expanded this exploration into the independent nature of sensory perception. My thesis, A Study on the Formal Beauty of Tactile Sense, was a systematic investigation into the unique ways in which touch perceives form. The study included three variables—randomness, density, and frequency—each with three levels, generating nine tactile patterns. Using a carefully selected group of visually impaired participants, I employed semantic differential analysis to collect evaluation data and used multidimensional scaling (MDS) to construct a three-dimensional psychological perceptual space. This space was then mapped to show the relationship between tactile forms and perceptual experiences.
The results revealed that touch has its own distinct perceptual mechanisms, markedly different from visual perception, and in some cases, even producing opposing impressions. These findings deepened my understanding of how each sense perceives and interprets the world independently, while also reinforcing the idea that a connection might exist between materiality and emotions. This research has profoundly influenced my creative philosophy, centering my artistic practice and life on exploring the interconnectedness between thought, emotion, and action.
我的論文《觸覺形式美之探討》(A Study on the Formal Beauty of Tactile Sense)採用嚴謹的實驗設計,針對觸覺的感知進行系統研究。
